Lake Odessa- Mrs. Emma Griebel, 96, died Tuesday evening at Belding Christian 
Nursing home where she had been a patient ten years.

Born October 9, 1877, in Odessa township she was the daughter of John and 
Rachel Lepard Bower. She was a retired beauty operator and member of Lake 
Odessa chapter OES and was a past matron. A  member of the Central United 
Methodist church of Lake Odessa, she also belonged to Ms. United Methodist 
Women.

Her husband, Jacob Griebel, died June 28, 1947. Also preceding her in death 
were two sons, Kenneth and Keith Baumgardner.

Surviving are three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday at 1:30 pm at Pickens-Koops funeral chapel in 
Lake Odessa. Rev. Marvin Zimmerman will officiate and interment will be at 
Lakeside cemetery.
