The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, June 26, 1967


Kenneth R. Grieve, 63, of route 6, St. Johns, died Saturday at Clinton Memorial 
hospital of injuries following an auto accident April 26 near St. Johns.  
Grieve was a former Ionia resident.

Services will be at Osgood funeral home in St. Johns Tuesday at 3 p.m. with 
interment in Eureka cemetery.  Rev. Ralph Conine will officiate.

Grieve was born in Saranac, April 17, 1904, the son of John and Myrtie Grieve, 
and attended Ionia country schools before graduating from Ionia high school in 
1924.  He had been a Clinton county resident since 1951, having lived in the 
Ionia area before that time.

He married Helen L. Rice in Angola, Ind., October 8, 1947, and was an employee 
of White Motors Reo Corp. in Lansing.

Surviving are his wife, Helen; three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Uttinger and Mrs. 
Eleanor Hardy, who are both of Beaumont, Tex., and Mrs. Betty Ludwall of Battle 
Creek; a son, Burnall at home; his father, John Grieve of St. Johns; a sister, 
Mrs. Russell Curtis of Portland, and 16 grandchildren.
