Born in rural Lake Odessa January 23, 1886, she was the daughter of Frank and Minnie Earle Hunter. She moved with her parents to a farm on Bowen road across from the Morrison Lake golf course and attended the Limrick school near Lake Odessa. December 3, 1904 she was married to Ralph Grieves and they celebrated their golden wedding anniversary in 1954. He died July 7, 1962. Surviving are three sons, Keith, Philip and Bryce, all of rural Saranac; daughter, Mrs. Marion Stuart of Perry; 19 grandchildren; 33 great grandchildren; brother, Robert Hunter of Salem, Va., and sister, Mrs. Mae Stuart of Clarksville. Funeral services will be Monday at 3 p.m. at Leddick funeral home. Rev. Nolan Williams of Easton United Methodist church will officiate and interment will be at the Saranac cemetery.
