Bryce C. Grieves, 81, of Saranac, passed away November 17, 2003 in Ionia.  He 
was born September 8, 1922 in Keene Twp. the son of Ralph and Ivy (Hunter) 
Grieves.  He was born and raised on the same farm and continued to farm and 
live there until retiring in 1985.  He married Sarah Jane (Sally) Bigelow 
August 25, 1949.

He is survived by his loving wife Sarah Jane (Sally) Grieves of Saranac; son, 
Chris (Pam) Grieves of Saranac; daughters, Lori Rairigh of Saranac, Peggy 
(Harold) McBride of Saranac; brother, Philip (Bertha) Grieves of Lowell; 
grandchildren, Bryan McMahon of Saranac, Dave (Pat) Grieves of Saranac, and 
Sarah McBride of Saranac.  He was preceded in death by one brother, Keith; two 
sisters, Helen, Marion; son-in-law, Roger Rairigh.

Funeral services for Mr. Grieves will be held 1 p.m. Thursday at Lake Funeral 
Home in Saranac with Rev. Kenneth Harger officiating.  Visitation is Wednesday 
2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home.  Anyone 
wishing may make a memorial contribution to American Heart Association or 
American Diabetes Association.
