Saranac - Maryon R. Grieves, 84, died on Saturday, Nov. 19, 1994, at her
residence.  She was born on April 8, 1910 the daughter of Gilbert and Mary
Adgate Curtiss.

She graduated from Saranac High School in 1929 and following that she graduated
from The Henry Ford Hospital Nursing School in Detroit.  She married Keith
Grieves in 1934 in Keene Township.  She was a member of the Daughters of the
American Revolution and a member of the Easton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by three sons: Peter Grieves of Newberry; Richard Grieves of
Saranac, and Gordon Grieves, of the United Arab Emirates; two daughters: Mary
Pennington of Saranac; and Nancy (David) Benjamin of Saranac; one sister,
Rosalyn (Warren) Chadwick of Lakeview; 12 grandchildren, and 6 great
grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Keith on Oct. 7, 1981
and one grandson.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Saranac Community
Church.  The Rev. Stanley Hagemeyer will officiate at interment of ashes at
Saranac Cemetery.

The family will receive friends and relatives on Monday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Lake
Funeral Home in Saranac.  Memorials may be made to Easton United Methodist
Church or Saranac Community Church Deanne Eddy Area Youth Program.
