Ionia Sentinel Standard

Veral O. Griffin, 53, of 227 Crawford Street, Belding, died Friday night at 
Greenville hospital after being ill for only a few days.  A native of Mecosta 
County he had lived at Saranac, Ionia, and Ada before moving to Belding.  He 
was employed at the Gibson Refrigerator company.  He was married to Elizabeth 
Cummins of Lake Odessa, November 9, 1930.  She survives.

Besides the widow he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Hazel Burns and Mrs. 
Viola Crankshaw and two sons, Arthur and Franklin, all of Belding; his mother, 
a sister, Mrs. Vida Burdick of Lansing, and three brothers, Walter and Vernon 
of Ionia, and Victor of Lyons and three grandchildren.

Funeral services are to be conducted from the Huffman funeral home at Belding, 
Tuesday at 2 pm.  The Rev. John Yarworth of Greens Corners Baptist church will 
officiate.  Burial will be at South Boston cemetery south of Saranac.
