Edward E. Griffin, 90, of Lakeview, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2007 at his 
daughter’s residence with his family by his side.  He was born on September 4, 
1916, in Mecosta County, the son of Claude and Mabel Sharp Griffin.  

He was preceded in death by his wife, Elsie, in 2003; son, Robert Griffin; 
grandson, Jerry Lain; sister, Velma Brandow; and sister-in-law, Alice Evans.

He is survived by his wife, Dena Griffin of Lakeview; children, Dee and Bob 
Paszkowski of Wyoming, Michigan, Lyle and Carol Griffin of Howard City, Shirley 
and Robert Kirkland of Sparta, Larry and Betty Griffin of Wyoming, Michigan, 
Gerald and Judy Griffin of Texas, Janet and Delva Burton of Mecosta, Sandy and 
John Budrick of Grand Rapids; 25 grandchildren, 58 great-grandchildren and 
three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Claude and Alice Griffin of Grand 
Rapids and sister, Norma Brandow of Howard City.

Funeral services are 2 p.m. Thursday at Youngman-McCullough Chapel, Lakeview, 
with Pastor Bob Jordan officiating.  Interment will be in Higbee Cemetery.  
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.  
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of Edward to Hospice of Michigan.  
Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
