Lake Odessa Wave - July 17, 1979
           VEVAH GRIFFIN
   ADA - Vevah Griffin, age 84, of 7235 Bradfield, formerly of Lake Odessa, died
June 27, at Grand Rapids 
Osteopathic Hospital.
   She was born in Nashville on December 15, 1894, the daughter of Ben and Gertrude
(Schram) Faust.  She 
attended Vermontville schools.
   She married Peter Griffin in Hinton Township on June 1, 1911.  He preceded her in
death on December 1, 
1955.
   Mrs. Griffin is survived by one daughter, Marion Griffin of Ada; one son, Lyn
Griffin; one daughter-in-law 
Dorothy Bryant of Belmont; Twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren;
five great-great-
grandchildren; and one dear friend, Margaret Bryant of Detroit.  One son, William,
preceded her in death on 
May 13, 1972.
   Funeral services were held July 2, at 1:30 p.m. from the Pickens-Koops Funeral
Chapel of Lake Odessa.  The 
Rev. James Hulett officiated.  Burial was in Lakeside Cemetery.
