Lake Odessa Wave - Times - April 5, 1945
          MRS. J. GRIFFIN BURIED MONDAY
                             ----------
   Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Wortley & Baine chapel for
Mrs. Viola A. Cooley Griffin 
who diesd Thursday evening at her home here following a long illness of a heart
ailment.  The Rev. J. 
Lawrence Ward officiated.
   Born August 23, 1866, in Ionia county, she was married to John H. Griffin in
November, 1914.  He preceded 
her in death August 22, 1944.  She was a member of Central Methodist church here.
   Surviving are two brothers; Alvin B. at Lansing and Howard in Texas, a step-son
Dale F. Griffin at 
Indianapolis, Ind., and four grandsons, all in the armed services.
