Griffiths, 90, a longtime resident of Belding, passed away Friday at Riverside Nursing Home, Grand Haven. He was born in Belding on December 23, 1916, the son of John and Mary Elizabeth Jenkins Griffiths. He was married on October 14, 1984 in Big Rapids to Imogene Griswold. He graduated from Belding High School with the class of 1935. He also proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He worked at the former Gibson Refrigerator for 42 years, retiring in 1979. He was preceded in death by his wife on March 29, 2006. He was also preceded in death by his parents; sister, Eleanor Clements; and brother, John Griffiths. He is survived by his children, Karen and Douglas Krouse of Florida, Valerie and Gary Teeguarden of Fort Wayne, Ind., Kim and Kelvin Miller of Grand Haven, Lee and Melody Kirby of Hawaii, Carl Kirby of Grand Rapids; 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Funeral and committal services will be at noon on Tuesday at Johnson-Feuerstein Funeral Home, 203 Pleasant St. Belding, with Pastor Kelvin Miller officiating. Private interment will follow in Orleans Township Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Memorial contributions may be made to Fellowship Bible Church, Grand Haven.
