Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. May 19, 1938

Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, May 17 for Henry D. Grill, 74, a 
lifelong resident of Hubbardston at his home north of Hubbardston. Mr. Grill 
died Sunday noon, May 15,

He was born in Stueben county, Ohio, april 5, 1964, the son of Rachel and 
Martin Grill. He came to Michigan when five years of age with his parents. On 
December 12, 1888 he was married to Anna M. Messer of Hubbardston, who survives 
him. 

Survivors besides the widow are four sons, Marley H. of Montpelier, Ohio, Harry 
W. at home, Henry Otto of Ionia, Fred O. of Muir; two daughters, Mrs. Freda 
Edwards of Ionia and Mrs. Bernice Huey of Flint; eight grandchildren, one 
brother, Allen Grill of Stanton and four sisters, Mrs. Amanda Goodell of Carson 
City, Mrs. Mary Jones and Mrs. Clara Wright of Maple Rapids and Mrs. Emma 
Terwilliger of Portland. 


Henry D. Grill, 74, died at his home north of Hubbardston Sunday noon, May 15. 
He was born April 5, 1864 in Stueben County, Ohio, the son of Rachel and Martin 
Grill. He leaves his widow, four sons and two daughters and eight grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted from the home Tuesday afternoon, May 17 at 2 
o'clock with interment at Hubbardston.
