Grimes, 63, 482 Fenwick Road, Fenwick, died Saturday at home. He was born March 27, 1920 in Cicero, Ill., the son of George and Rose Grimes. He had lived in the Fenwick area since 1949, formerly living in New Jersey. He was a former Chrysler employee and a bailiff of the Eighth Circuit Court. He was a WWII veteran and a member of VFW Post 5065. He was a member of St. Bernadette of Lords Church where he served on the Parish Council and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He married Mary Hosmer, March 21, 1942. Surviving are his wife Mary, four daughters, Patricia Olsen of Lansing, Janis Williams of Big Rapids, Denise s of Ligonier, Pa. and Mary Rye of Pocatello, Id; one son, Harold of Greenville; eight grandchildren and one brother, Vincent of New Jersey. Mass will be today at 10 a.m. from the St. Bernadette of Lords Church with the Rev. Fred Brucker officiating. Burial will be in the Clear Lake Cemetery. Pallbearers will be John Hudson, Frank Jensen, Ed. Byers, Mike Cilibrase, Leonard Zimmerman and Dick Chapin. A rosary service was conducted Monday at 8 p.m. at the Stebbins-Simpson Funeral Home.
