Ionia Weekly Standard - 12 January 1906
Albert Griswold of Lake Odessa was killed on New Years day, by the accidental 
discharge of a revolver, which he was carrying on a hunting tour of the fields 
near his father's home in Odessa township where he and his family had gone to 
spend the day.  He laid the revolver down while digging out a skunk, and in 
some way it was discharged, the ball passing through his arm and lodging in his 
chest.  He lived about an hour.  He was 28 years old, had been employed for 
past year on telephone construction work and leaves a wife and two children.
