Anna M. Griswold, 94, of Ionia passed away on Dec. 30, 2012 in Lowell. She was 
born June 6, 1918 in St. Louis, Mich., the daughter of George and Julia Lukas. 
Anna married Eugene Griswold Sept 16, 1944.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eugene F. Griswold, and 
brothers George and Frank Lukas.

During the war, Anna Worked at AC Spark Plug, later at the Brown Corporation of 
Ionia. After retiring in 1980 from Brown’s, she worked for the former Jones 
Jewelry store in Ionia until 2004.

Anna loved working in her flower gardens, going dancing with her many friends, 
and of course talking about and riding motorcycles. She and her husband Eugene 
were members of the Ionia Motorcycle Club in the early 1940s. In 2006, Anna was 
honored to be the Grand Marshall of the Harley owners gathering parade in Ionia.

She is survived by her son Gary (Ann) of Caledonia, Mich.; sister Helen 
Malynek; brother, Edward Lukas of Owosso, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday Jan. 4 at Lake Funeral Home 
of Ionia.
