Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Wed. Dec. 5, 2001
Ruth A. Griswold, 88, of Ionia, formerly of Palo, passed away Dec. 3, 2001 at 
her grandson's home in Ionia.

She was born on Aug. 28, 1913 in Aurora, Ill., the daughter of Paul and Anna 
(Seildelman) Witte. Ruth graduated from the Ionia High School. She was a member 
of the Palo Baptist Church, a member of the Rebecca Lodge in Palo and a member 
of the Sheridan VFW.

Surviving are two daughters; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and 
one sister, Esther Sigurney of Lansing.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton in 1960; two sons, Rocky and 
Larry; one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday from Palo Baptist Church 
with Pastor Philip Fishman officiating. the pianist will be Peggy Prebble. 
Interment will be in Palo Cemetery.
