Ionia County News, 12 Aug 1943

Eli Griswold, passed away at his home two and one-half miles east of Palo,
Sunday, August 8, after suffering several severe heart attacks.  He leaves his
widow and ten children, two of whom, Elli_ and Eshter live at home.  He also
leaves a large circle of friends who deeply sympathize with the sorrowing family
in their loss of a kind and loving husband and father.  Funeral arrangements are
not completed, pending word from a son, Earl, who is in the U.S. Army service.

[Transcriber's Note:  There are notations on the obituary card that he was
buried in Crystal Cemetery, and that he was the son of Warren Gilford and Elvira
(Rockwell) Griswold.]
