EARL GRISWOLD
IONIA - Earl Griswold of Evergreen Trailer Park, Ionia, died Friday at his
residence. Funeral arrangements will be announced by Montgomery Funeral Home.

EARL VERNON GRISWOLD
IONIA- Earl Vernon Griswold, 64, of evergreen Trailer Park, died at his home
Saturday.

He was the son of Eli and Edith Dudhope Griswold and was born in Ionia June 22,
1924.  He graduated from Grand Ledge High School.

A veteran of World War II, he worked for William Brothers Construction Co. for 32
years. He was a member of the American Legion of Saranac and the Ionia Moose Lodge.

Surviving are a son, Vernon Earl Griswold of Ionia; two grandchildren; three
stepsons, Bob Herron of Sunnyvale, Calif.; Dennis Herron and Ron Coleman, both of Ionia; one 
stepdaughter, Michelle Colman of Saranac; four sisters Eulah Rowley of Orleans,
Elsie Kendall of Palo, Eunice Blank of St. Johns, and Esther Cunningham of Fenwick; and
several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, Ellis, Elton, Elmer, and
Elvert Griswold; and two sisters, Ethel Clark and Eursel Griswold.

Funeral services will be held from the Main Street Chapel of Montgomery Funeral Home

Wednesday at 3 p.m. the Rev. Robert Collar officiating. Saranac VFW will provide
military rites.

Burial will be in Balcom Cemetery.

The family will be at the funeral home 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today.

A memorial has been established for the Michigan Heart Association.
