Deceased was better known as Mrs. John Opst, and was regarded as the mother of the Polish settlement on and about Colby St. Mrs. Marion Grochivina, wife of John Grochivina passed away at 11 o’clock Tues. at the residence on Colby St. Mrs. Grochivina was nearing the 77 milestone, and been in feeble health for a long time. She was the mother of five children, four living out of the city, and only one, Mrs. Bert Hosford, being a resident of Ionia. Subsequent Publication: Friday, February 17, 1911 Mr. and Mrs. Fred Grochavina, he a son, and Mrs. and Mrs. Max, Baumgart, she a daughter of the late Mrs. John Opst, here to attend the funeral, returned to their homes in Chicago today.
