Sentinel-Standard - Saturday, December 20, 1980

Lake Odessa- Helen A. Groff, 66, of 335 South Green Meadow, Grand Rapids, 
and formerly of Lake Odessa died Thursday at Butterworth Hospital following 
an extended illness.

She was born in lake Odessa Aug. 31, 1914, the daughter of Shirley and Eva 
Merrill Groff. She attended Darby School and was graduated from Clarksville 
High School in 1932.

She was employed by Diesel Equipment in Grand Rapids for 25 years, retiring 
in 1976.

She is survived by her father, Shirley Groff of Lake Odessa; one brother, 
Harold Groff of Lake Odessa; one niece, one nephew and three aunts.

Services will be held Sunday at 2 p.m. at Pickens-Koops Funeral Chapel, with 
the Rev. William Stevens officiating. 

Burial will be in the Clarksville cemetery. A memorial has been established 
for the Michigan Lupus Foundation. 

Friends and relatives may call at the funeral home today from 2-4 and 7-9 
p.m.
