Ionia Daily Sentinel Standard, 13 Mar 1950

Mrs. Ella V. Grooms, 70, wife of Charles Grooms, of 214 Front street died Sunday
at 12:20 p.m. after an illness since the later part of December.  She was born
April 1, 1879 in Hastings, the daughter of Sidney and Nina Lord.  She lived in
Hastings until she was 20 years of age, and lived in Ionia for the past 44 years.  

She married Charles Grooms of Ionia June, 1917, in Stanton.  Mrs. Grooms was a
member and an active worker of the Christian Science Society of Ionia.

Funeral services will be conducted at the Boynton funeral home at 2 p.m.
Wednesday.  Claude Dumont will read the service.  Interment will be in Tuttle
cemetery.
