He leaves to mourn their loss two daughters, one step-daughter and two step-sons. Funeral services were held at the Woodbury U. B. church Tuesday, May 29th at 2:00 p. m.. Rev. Nest officiated. Interment was in Lakeside cemetery. Those from away attending the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Lang of Kalamazoo, Mr. and Mrs. Will Clark and family of Lansing, Mr. and Mrs. Sam Clark and family of Charlotte, Mrs. Jerome Clark of Shelby, Mr. and Mrs. William Troost fame family of Fowlerville, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Fender and family of Lake Odessa, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Robinson and family of Portland and Charles Robinson of Kalamazoo. OBITUARY Henry Gross was born in Winesburg, Holmes county, Ohio, December 27th, 1844, and departed this life at his home in Woodburn May 27th, 1923, aged 78 years and five months. When 18 years of age he enlisted in the Union army and served in Co. K, 51st Ohio volunteers unit the end of the war, when he received an honorable discharge. In 1871 he came to Michigan and lived a long time in Vermontvillle, then moved to Nashville for a short time, later coming to Woodbury, where he spent the remainder of his life. In 1889 he was united by marriage to Mrs. Lillian Rose Robinson. He leaves to mourn his departure a wife, two daughters, Mrs. Lillian Rose Troost of Fowlerville, and Mrs. Irene Fender, Lake Odessa, a step-daughter, Mrs. Loretta Lady, Kalamazoo and tow step-sons, Fred Robinson, Portland, Mich., and Charles Robinson of Kalamazoo. Funeral services were held in the Woodbury U. B. church Tuesday at two o'clock, Rev. Nest officiating. Interment in the Lakeside cemetery.
