RAY FENDER LOSES CHRISTIAN MOTHER. FUNERAL SUNDAY AFTERNOON. ------------- The body of Mrs. Lelia Gross, mother of Mrs. Ray Fender, was brought to the Fender home last Friday where the funeral was held Sunday afternoon with the Rev. S. S. Cox officiating and William MCurdy and two children furnished the music. Burial was at Lakeside cemetery. OBITUARY Mrs. Lelia Rose Clark Gross was born at Conneat, O., October 20, 1859, and died Thursday, Mar. 1, 1939, at the age of 80 years. She leaves to mourn their loss five children, Charles G. Robinson of Kalamazoo, Fred W. Robinson of Portland, Mrs. Loretta Lavey of Gobles, Mrs. Rose Troost of South Lyons, and Mrs. Irene Fender of Lake Odessa. Others to mourn their loss are 10 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. She has resided with her daughter Mrs. Loretta Lavey for the past number of years. She is also survived by four brothers, Jerome Clark, Grand Rapids, and William Clark, Samuel Clark, and Zine Clark, all of Charlotte. Her sainted influence will linger long in the memory of a host of friends. An example of a devoted Christian, a pious and devoted mother, a saint of God. May her life be an inspiration to us all.
