Stephen was born to Ronal and Ruth Grosshans on May 13, 1958 in Lansing. He worked at GM until his retirement in 2002. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, watching NASCAR, boating and camping with his family. He especially loved spending time at the family property at Baldwin and cruising around Torch Lake in his boat. His children and grandchildren were the light of his life. Steve was a fighter due to the previous battles of cancer in his life. He was greatly admired by his family for his strength and perseverance throughout his life. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Anne; his children, Steve (Christina) Grosshans of Sunfield, Matt (Mandy) Grosshans of Sunfield and Nikki (Dustin Barber) Grosshans of Sunfield; grandchildren, Faith and Austin Wickens, Gavin Grosshans and Grace Grosshans; siblings, Leslie Grosshans of Sunfield and Greg (Michon) Grosshans of Mulliken; many aunts and uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews and countless friends. He was greeted at Heaven’s gates by father, Ronal; mother, Ruth; sister, Lynne; great niece, Hunter and other friends and relatives. Funeral services will be held at Kilpatrick United Brethren Church (10005 E. Barnum Road, Woodland, MI 48897) on Monday, Jan. 5, 2015. Service will be officiated by Pastor Darrel Bosworth. The family will be receiving friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The celebration of his life will begin at 1:30 p.m. with a luncheon immediately following.
