Barber Grosvenor, 84, formerly of Greenville and Belding, passed away Monday morning, June 30, 2003 at her sister’s home near Fenwick. The daughter of Frank and Elizabeth McCormick Lyons, she was born March 10, 1919 in Detroit. A devoted and loving wife and mother, Mary enjoyed crocheting and was a member of St. Charles Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Floyd A. Barber Sr. and Albert Grosvenor; and sister, Catherine Brugle. She is survived by two sons, Ross and Sharon Barber, Floyd Jr. and Peggy Barber, all of Greenville; two stepchildren, Anson Grosvenor and Pluma Grosvenor; eight brothers and sisters, Betty Rozell of Belding, Veronica Wireman of Fenwick, Rosalie Wireman of Belding, Marie Wireman of Ohio, Marion Harvey of California, John Lyons, Lawrence Lyons and Robert Lyons, all of Belding; five grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial is 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Father Fred Brucker officiating. Burial will follow in St. Charles Catholic Cemetery.
