Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Mon. Aug., 22, 1938
Funeral services were held from the Ionia Church of Christ Sunday afternoon, 
August 21 at 2:30 o'clock for Mrs. Bertha L. Grover, 67, who died at the home 
of her son, Ambrose Grover, at Lansing Friday morning after a long illness. 
Rev. Paul L. Stewart officiated at the services.  Interment was at Woodard 
Lake cemetery.

Five members of the Bethany Circle of the church of which Mrs. Grover was a 
teacher for many years, were in charge of flowers.  They were Mrs. Leon A. 
McQuillian, Mrs. Carl M. Seabrook, Mrs. Frank H. Judevine, Mrs. Mable Eddy and 
Miss Mae Avery.

Mrs. Ted Bloomer gave several organ selections. 

Bearers were Reber Grover, Milton Smith and Charles Brown of Ionia, Adlie 
Grover and Lloyd Grover of Grand Rapids, and Glendon Austin of Nashville.

Among those attending from away were Mrs. and Mrs. Ambrose Grover of Lansing, 
Mrs. Mildred Gray of Dearborn, Ernest Grover of St. Johns, Mrs. Herbert Grover 
of Chicaco, Mrs. and Mrs. Adison Grover and sons of Grand Rp[ids, Mrs. and 
Mrs. L.A. Austin and family of Nashville, Mrs. Genevieve Jensen of Muskegon, 
Mr. and Mrs. Francis Thurstson and Vernon Thurston of Battle Creek and Mr and 
Mrs. LaVern Beeman of Hastings.
