The Belding Banner, Thursday, August 8, 1907
After many months of suffering from cancer, Mrs. Hiram Green died Saturday 
morning, August 3rd and passed to the other side.  Mrs. Green was 69 years of 
age the seventeenth of June and had been a resident of Michigan ever since she 
was 15 years of ago.  She was born in Cayuga County, New York.  

Mrs. Green had been twice married prior to her marriage with Mr. Green and 
left two children by her first husband, Mrs. Nellie Adams of Mecosta, and 
Franklin Henry Foster of Grand Rapids.  She was united in marriage to Hiram 
Green December 30th, 1891, and he is left at this time to mourn the loss of a 
loving and Christian companion.  

The funeral services were held at the Free Methodist church on Monday, the 
Rev. D. G. Briggs, her pastor, preaching the sermon, and the remains laid at 
rest in the Riverridge cemetery.  A true Christian, she bore her suffering 
with fortitude born of her faith and awaited the summons which she knew must 
come and was ready for the end.
