Carol Leah Grummet, age 58, of Ionia, passed away Sunday, January 30, 2005.  
She was born December 12, 1946 in Ionia, the daughter of Leo and Mary (DeGroat) 
Allen Jr.  She married Ronald Ray Grummet November 8, 1975 in Lowell.  He 
preceded her in death May 25, 1996.  She attended Ionia Church of the 
Nazarene.  Carol is survived by her father Leo Allen of Ionia; children; Dale 
(Penny) Jarman of Orleans, Anna (Dallas) Geiger of Woodland, Clarence (Anna) 
Jarman of Lyons; step children Kevin (Diane) Grummet of Ionia, Brenda Latour of 
New Mexico, Brian Grummet of Mt. Pleasant, Ted (Brenda) Grummet of Lyons, 
Kimberly (Gary) of Lansing; brother Dennis (Susie) Allen of Ionia; sister Julie 
(Donald) Riger of Ionia, Debra (Bob) Flinn of Ionia; special friend Rick Pierce 
of Ionia; twenty grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.  She was preceded 
in death by her grandfather Leo Allen Sr. in 1984 and grandmother Mildred 
Scarbrough in 1998.

Funeral services will be held 11 a.m., Wednesday, at Ionia Church of the 
Nazarene with Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating.  Interment will be in the 
spring at Tuttle Cemetery.  The family will receive friends and relatives 
Tuesday 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at Lake Funeral Home in Ionia and Wednesday 10 a.m. 
until time of service at Ionia Church of the Nazarene.  You may make memorial 
contributions in Carol’s name to Nazarene Church or Ionia Area Hospice.
