Ronald Ray Grummet, 56, of Ionia died May 25, 1996 at his home.  He was born 
Oct. 6, 1939 in Grand Rapids, the son of Ronald and Elsie (Griffen) Grummet.  
He married Carol Allen Nov. 7, 1975 in Kent County.  He was a member of the 
Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife, Carol Grummet, of Ionia; sons, Kevin (Diane) 
Grummet, of Ionia, Brian (Brenda) Grummet of Ionia, Ted (Brenda) Grummet, of 
Ionia, Dale (Penny) Jarman, of Orleans and Clarence (Anna) Jarman, of Lyons; 
daughters, Brenda LaTour, of Ionia, Kimberly (Craig) Spence of Ionia; and Anna 
(Dallas) Geiger, of Ionia; brother, Robert (Lila) Grummet, of Alto; sisters: 
Francis (James) Warner, of Lowell, Sharon (Larry) Jenks, of Jenison and Mary 
Lou (Terry) Carzoli, of Georgia; and 20 grandchildren.  He was preceded in 
death by one brother and one sister.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of the Nazarene in 
Ionia with Rev. Kirk Starkweather officiating.  Interment will be in Tuttle 
Cemetery and visitation is today from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 7 p.m. to 8:30 
p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 
wishes of the family.  All arrangements have been made by the Lake Funeral 
Home in Saranac.
