Ionia Sentinel Standard, 13 Oct 1952

Mrs. Christine Grummet, 82, of Lyons, died Sunday, October 12, at 9:30 a.m. at
the Buras Convalescent Home of Ionia.  She had been a patient there about six
weeks although she had been ill for a number of years.

She was born October 6, 1870, in Berlin township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
David Eldridge.  She attended Hartwell school.  She was married in 1910 to
William Grummet of Easton.  Following his death in 1947, Mrs. Grummet moved to
Lyons to make her home with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Orrie
Maynard.

Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Harold Cole of Lansing and Mrs. Maynard of
Lyons; 10 grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Morris funeral home in
Saranac.  The Rev. Frederick Dickinson of Lyons will officiate.  Burial will be
in Saranac cemetery.
