SERVICES THURSDAY FOR MRS. GITHA FOSBURG, 76. Mrs. Githa E. Fosburg, widow 
of Jesse Fosburg, died Monday, Jan. 28, 1957, at Shamrock Rest Home in 
Lowell. Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2:30 at Morris 
Funeral Home in Saranac, the Rev. Glenn McCarty officiating and burial will 
be made in Saranac cemetery.

Mrs. Fosburg was born in Sherman township, Michigan on August 11, 1881. She 
lived all her married life in Saranac and Grand Rapids.

Surviving are three sons, Ora and Floyd of Saranac, and Leo of Flint; four 
daughters, Mrs. Ena Carter of Vermontville, Mrs. Vesta Johnson of Ada, Mrs. 
Ethel Sitzer of Grand Rapids and Mrs. Blanche Remster of Flint; 25 
grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, and one sister, Mrs. Hattie Whitby 
of Lowell.


Additional Comments:
I have found Githa's maidan name spelled many ways. It was spelled Grumns and 
Grammens in two of her children's obituaries. I have also seen it spelled 
Grommon.
