KAY LYNN GRUNDY

Died Saturday, March 14, 2026-age 63 of Belding, at home under the care of 
Corewell Health Hospice.
Born February 11, 1963 in Ionia, daughter of the late Roy Otis & Sharon Marie 
(Oyler) Powell.
United in Married to Steven Ray Grundy on July 3,1992 at Orleans, MI by the late 
Pastor Ken Harger. Having enjoyed nearly 34 years of marriage & raised three 
children.
Kay Lynn worked at Paulstra CRC in Grand Rapids until her health forced her into 
retirement.
Survived by her husband, Steve Grundy; their children, Jennifer Palethorpe of 
Greenville, Justin Palethorpe of Crystal & Amy Grundy of Belding, nine 
grandchildren;Dakota Lanning, Joseph Lanning, Olivia Palethorpe, Corbin 
Palethorpe, Austin Palethorpe, Chance Palethorpe, Hailey Bingaman, Caitlyn 
Bingman, & Kinsley Slocum, a brother, Phillip Powell & Janet VanOsterdorp of 
Belding,a sister Kim & Scott Patrick of Belding, Aunt Connie Parker & James 
Washburn of Oklahoma; siblings-law, Rick & Jody Grundy, Debbie Hannah, Jimmy 
Grundy, Donna Martin, many nieces, nephews, cousins & faithful canine Bella.
A Celebration of Life is planned & will be announced at a later date.
