Mrs. Helen Virginia Guenther, 53, of Muir died late Sunday at Ionia Manor
following an extended illness.  Born March 27, 1913, in Hubbardston she was the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Schaefer.  She attended Muir and Grand Ledge
schools.  She was a practical nurse and was employed at one time by Burdick
Cheese Company of Muir.

Surviving besides her husband, Guile of Muir; are a son, Larry Treadway of
Lyons; three grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Fred Gehlhaar of Grand Ledge and
Mrs. Howard I___ff of Muir; stepmother, Mrs. Lawrence Woodbury of Muir; brother,
Robert Schaefer of Alaska; three half brothers, Ronald Schaefer of California?,
Richard of Lyons and Kent? of Muir; stepbrother, Bud Schaefer of Muir; a half
sister, Mrs. Myron Croel of California and a step-sister, Mrs. Bruce Rowe of
Portland.

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Lyons Baptist church.  Rev. C.
Richard Harrison will officiate and interment will be at Westside cemetery,
Hubbardston.  Until noon Wednesday Mrs. Guenther will be at Shaw-Rivett-Hull
funeral home in Muir.
