The Ionia Daily Sentinel-Standard, Monday, September 12, 1966

Lyons—Mrs. Celdella Guernsey, 90, passed away at St. Johns hospital late 
Saturday.  She was a member of the United Brethren church in Matherton.  

She is survived by her husband Jesse Guernsey, who is 100 years old, one 
foster son, Robert Kilchermann of Hubbardston; one brother, Alpha Douthitt, 
and one sister Jose Lay, both from Indianapolis, Minn.

Services were Monday at 2 p.m. at the United Brethren church in Matherton.  
Arrangements were made by the Estep funeral home and burial was in East Plains 
cemetery.
