   Excerpts from Saranac Obituary

     WAYNE GEORGE GUERNSEY

Died Friday November 28, 2025-age 71 of Ionia.
Born May 31, 1988 in Greenville,MI, son of Max & Della (Wait) Guernsey.
Married on July 30, 1988 to the love of his life Martha Smith.
Wayne was a member at South Boston Bible Church, where he served on the board as 
a treasurer. 
He had a huge love of Jesus,, he found joy in spreading GOd's word through his 
work with the Gideons.
He also enjoyed hunting, fishing & practicing photography in nature.
Wayne & Martha loved taking trips throughout Michigan hunting for lighthouses.
Surviving is his wife Martha, of Ionia; sons Erie Guernsey of Grand Ledge, Ryan 
(Carey) Guernsey of Rockford, Kevin (Angie) Guernsey of Saranac, Adam (Abigail) 
Guernsey of Ionia & Sadie Guernsey of Ionia.
Brothers, Dennis (Beth) Guernsey of Greenville & Jerry (Beverly) Guernsey of 
Greenville, In Laws, Greg (Carmen) Smith of Ionia, Peter (Laurie) Smith of 
Ionia, Sarah (Kari) Jones of Saranac.
Grandchildren: Eliza, Wyatt, Weston, Ethan, Ava, Paigelyn, Lane, Levi, Eden & 
Ezra.
Preceded in death by his parents, Max & Della Guernsey, In-Laws John & Alice 
Smith & grandson Clay Guernsey.
A funeral service will be held at 1PM Friday, December 5, 2025 at South Boston 
Bible Church.
Visitation will be from 11AM-1PM at the South Boston Bible Fellowship Hall.
Interment to follow at Saranac Cemetery. 
Memorial Contributions may be made to The Gideons International.
