Margaret Guernsey, 88, of Mt. Pleasant died Monday, December 4, 1995 at the 
Clare Nursing Home in Clare.  She was born October 31, 1907 in Ionia County, 
the daughter of LeGrand and Emily Olive (Leach) Terry.  She was married to 
Hubur R. Guernsey on October 15, 1928.  

She has lived in Mount Pleasant since 1978 and formerly lived in the 
Greenville, Belding and Ionia area.  She was employed as a line worker for GM 
at the AC Spark Plug factory and also worked at Belding Hospital for nine 
years.  She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Greenville and 
attended the First United Methodist Church when she lived in Mount Pleasant.

She is survived by son Buerl (Norma) Guernsey, of Greenville; daughter Yvonne 
Fabian, of Rosebush; step-son Lewis (Annalee) Guernsey, of Ionia; 11 
grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and 
several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband on June 
12, 1963; her parents; and sister, Myrtie Bowerman.

Funeral services will be on Friday, December 8, 1995 at 11 a.m. at the Helms 
Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with Pastor Peggy Adams of the Trinity Lutheran 
Church of Greenville officiating.  Burial will be at Easton Township Cemetery 
in Ionia County, and visitation will be on December 7 at the funeral home from 
2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday, December 8 from 10 a.m. 
until the time of the service.  Memorial contributions may be made to the 
Trinity Lutheran Church Memorial Fund.  Envelopes are available at the funeral 
home.
