IONIA- An Ionia resident for the past 30 years, Ronald Guess, 71, of 5823 
Charles Rd. died Monday at the Ionia Manor.

He was born January 15, 1906 in Hocking County, Ohio to Walter Guess and Bertha 
Davis and attended school in Logan, Ohio.

Guess married May Brown, June 1945 in Pontiac. He is a retired employee of 
General Motors of Pontiac having moved to Ionia from there.

He is survived by a step-son, Phillip Townsend of Florida, one step-daughter, 
Mrs. Wilma O'Berry of Ionia and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 pm from the Estep funeral home, 
Sheridan, Rev. Norman Mincemoyer will officiate. Later interment will be in 
North Plains cemetery. 

A memorial fund has been established for North Plains church and may be left at 
the funeral home.

The family will be at the Estep funeral home this evening (Tuesday) from 7 to 9 
pm to receive friends and relatives.
