J. C. Stewart, this afternoon. Burial was made in Danby cemetery. Mrs. Guilford was born in Lodi, Seneca county, New York, June third, 1847 and with her parents went to Ohio seven years later. In 1856 the family came to Clinton county and settled in Dallas township. On March 7, 1872 she was married to Rufus E. Guilford, the couple residing on a farm in Danby. Following the death of her husband in 1901, Guilford continued to make her home on the farm until 1918 when she came to town, residing here with her son until her death. She was a charter member of Danby Grange and a member of the Congregational church. Besides the son, Clarence, she is survived by two brothers, Willard and Frank Murphy, of Eagle.
