Mrs. Hilda L. Gunning, 67, died at 8:30 Friday morning at her home at 847 East 
Lincoln avenue after a lengthy illness.  She was born December 3, 1891 at 
Greenville the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jacob Andersen where she also attended 
public schools.

She was married in 1910 to Thomas Gunning in Grand Rapids.  They have made 
their home in Ionia for 43 years and at the present address for the past 20 
years.  She was a member of the First Methodist church of Ionia.

Besides her husband, Thomas, she is survived by one son, Floyd of Ionia; four 
brothers, John Andersen, Harold Andersen, Jesse Andersen and Andrew Andersen, 
all of Greenville; two sisters, Mrs. Guy Wright of Belding, and Mrs. Conrad 
Diedrich of Jackson; two grandchildren.

Funeral service will be held from the Phelps funeral chapel Monday afternoon at 
2 o’clock.  The Rev. Heath Goodwin will officiate and interment will be in 
Sunset Memorial Garden Shrines.
