Virginia Arlene Gunter, 83, of Saranac, passed away Friday, April 2, 2004.  
She was born February 2, 1921 in Matherton the daughter of John and Letha 
Gage.  

She married Arthur Gunter on November 16, 1942 living the majority of their 
married life in Saranac. She was an avid square dancer and gardener. She loved 
to do crossword puzzles and crochet.

She is survived by her husband, Arthur Gunter of Saranac; son, Kerry and Mary 
Gunter of La Place, Louisiana; daughters, Karen and Tom Reed of Ionia, Kathy 
and Wayne Perry of Ionia; three sisters; one brother; eleven grandchildren and 
nine great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by two brothers and two 
sisters.

Funeral services will be held Monday 2 p.m. at the Lake Funeral Home in 
Saranac. Visitation will be on Sunday from 2 to 4 p.m. and from 7 to 8:30 p.m. 
at the funeral home.
