          ARTHUR GUNTER

SARANAC - Arthur Gunter, 81, died Thursday at Brocksville, Fla., where he made 
his home during the winter months. He as a summer resident of Saranac.

Born at St.Charles May 13, 1894, he was the son of Ira and Almira Brown Gunter. 
he worked most of his life for the Pere Marquette railroad Company in the 
Saranac area retiring in 1961.

He was a life member of the Masonic Lodge of Lyons.

Among his survivors are three sons, Arthur and Richard Gunter and Donald Holmes, 
all of Saranac; two daughters, mrs.Hazel MacDonald of Saginaw and Mrs.Mary 
Anderson of Homosassa, Fla.; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

The body will arrive at Saranac Saturday evening and visitation hours at the 
Roetman Funeral Home Saranac, will begin at noon Sunday.

Services will be conducted Monday at 1:30 PM at the Roetman Funeral Home. Rev. 
James Frank will officiate and interment will be at East Plains Cemetery north 
of Pewamo.
