Ionia Sentinel-Standard - Thurs. Jan. 28, 1965

Mrs. Bessie G. Gustafson, 86, route three, Ionia died at 2:45 a.m. Thursday at 
Ionia County Memorial hospital where she had been a patient three days.

She was born in Sweden June 17, 1878 and was married to Andrew Gustafson in 
Muskegon in 1896. He preceded her in death in 1930.

A resident of the Ionia area the past 60 years she had lived on the ______ 
_____ farm the past 49 years.

Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Fred York of Ionia; four sons, Walter W. and 
Palmer L. Gustafson of Lansing; G. Harvey of Ionia and Albert E. of Grand 
Ledge; one sister, Mrs. Cecilia Johnson of Ionia; 11 great and 18 great-
grandchildren.

Rev. Lester Bailey of First Methodist church will conduct services at Boynton 
funeral home Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock.

Burial will be at Easton cemetery.
