Ionia Sentinel Standard, 5 Mar 1990

Gustav Harvey Gustafson, 90, of Ionia, died March 3 at Belding Christian Nursing
Home.  Born May 15, 1899 in Manistee, he was the son of Andrew and Bessie
Johnson Gustafson.  He married Mae Ward in 1924.  They lived their entire life
in Ionia.  Before his retirement, he owned and operated the Ford Tractor and
Implement Dealership in south Ionia.

He is survived by a daughter-in-law, Patricia Gustafson; three grandsons, Thomas
and Michael of Ionia and Dan of Bozeman, Montana; three great-grandchildren; a
brother, Albert Gustafson of Grand Ledge; and several nieces and nephews.  He
was preceded in death by his wife Mae, a son William, two brothers and a sister.

Memorial contributions may be sent to the First United Methodist Church in Ionia
in his memory.  Private burial service will be held at Easton Cemetery at a
later date.  Arrangements by Cook Funeral Home in Ionia.
