Ionia Sentinel-Standard
Family graveside services for William L. Gustafson were conducted Tuesday at 11 
am in the Easton Township Cemetery.  Mr. Gustafson died early Sunday morning at 
his Hackett street residence of complications from an auto accident in 1974.  He 
was born in Ionia June 22, 1930 the son of Harvey and Mae Ward Gustafson.  He 
was an Ionia High School graduate.  He served with the U.S. Air Force, which 
included service in Africa during the Korean campaign.  He married Patricia 
Kennedy in the Ionia Presbyterian Church in 1954.  They made their home in 
Ionia.  Mr. Gustafson graduated from Central Michigan University and was 
ordained as a minister.  He has spent the past few years at his fathers 
residence.  He was a member of the First United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his father, Harvey, of Ionia; three sons, Daniel, of 
Gainesville, Fla., Thomas and Michael both of Ionia.  His mother preceded him in 
death on May 19, 1972.

Services were conducted by the Rev. terry MacArthur, of St. John’s.  Following 
graveside services a luncheon was served to family and friends at the home of 
Mr. Gustafson’s cousin, Madeline York, Lytle Street.
