Kathryn Elizabeth Guy, of Lake Odessa, passed away Thursday, Sept. 3, 2009 at
Pennock Hospital at the age of 88.  She was born March 4, 1921 in Sebewa Twp.
the daughter of Roy E. and Mildred May (Greg) Pumphrey.  Kathryn attended Travis
School K-12 in Portland and 9-12 at Lake Odessa High school.  She married Myron
Guy on July 16, 1942.  Mrs. Guy lived in Portland from 1942 to 1970, and she
lived in Lake Odessa from 1970 until her death.  In 1956 she went to work for
the Chrysler Trim Plant in Lyons.

Surviving are her son, Kenneth B. (Joan) Guy of Portland, three grandchildren
and seven great-grandchildren.  Mrs. Guy was preceded in death by her husband,
Myron Guy, and grandson, Gerald M. Guy.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Sept.  9, 2009 at the Rosier
Funeral Home, Mapes-Fisher Chapel, Sunfield, with Rev. Jeffery J. Schrock
officiating.  Visitation will be noon to 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral
home.  For those wishing, contributions may be made to the S.P.Y.’s Scholarship
fund, aka Sunfield Area Sponsors of Programs for Youth, or Tendercare of
Hastings, C/O RFH P.O. Box 36 Sunfield, MI 48890.  Interment will be in the
Sunfield Cemetery.
