CARL F. GIERMAN

LAKE ODESSA -- Carl F. Gierman, 68, of 1111 Tupper Lake road, died in Ann
Arbor Wednesday. A World War I veteran, he was a native of Sebewa Township,
retired farmer and former Lake Odessa school bus driver. He was a member
of Sunfield church of the Brethren and LaVerne Demaray Post of the American
Legion. Surviving are his wife, Martha; a son Maynard, Ionia; two daughters,
Mrs Gretchen Cominetto of Midland Park, New Jersey, and Mrs Carole Ritmaster,
Kalamazoo; a sister, Mrs Edna Sayer, Sebewa; two brothers, Robert of Sebewa
and Elmer of Ionia, and seven grandchildren. Services will be Saturday
at 1:30 p.m. at the Pickens Funeral Chapel here. Burial will be in Sunfield
Cemetery.
