Sentinel-Standard - Monday, Oct. 23, 1944

Emil Haas, 55, of Grand Rapids, died suddenly Saturday morning of a heart 
attack with which he was stricken while at his work in the plant of the Expert 
Die and Stamping company, where he had been employed as a maintenance worker. 

Mr. Haas went to Grand Rapids from Ionia 15 years ago.

He is survived by his wife Rosa; his father, Jacob; four daughters, Mrs. Wesley 
Marz, Mrs. Richard Knapp, Mrs. Ralph Dertin and Mrs. Robert Black, Grand 
Rapids; five grandchildren, and five brothers; Carl of Ohio, Ill., John of 
Detroit, Fred of Columbus, O., Roy of Ionia and George of Grand Rapids, and two 
sisters, Mrs. William Hall of Los Angeles and Mrs. George Young of Grand 
Rapids.
