The Ionia Sentinel-Standard, Monday, February 13, 1961

Art Hackett, 76, of 517 North Nicholson street, died early Sunday morning at 
Ionia County Memorial hospital where he was admitted Saturday evening.  He was 
born May 23, 1884 in Odessa township, the son of Martin and Amelia Hackett.

Mr. Hackett was last employed by Lake Odessa Canning company and retired 
several years ago.  He was a member of St. Johns Lutheran church.

Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Mary Uhlich of Saranac; one brother, Louis 
Hackett of Ionia, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be conducted Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Johns Lutheran 
church with the Rev. Theodore Timler officiating.  Burial will be at Highland 
Park cemetery.  The body will remain at Stone-Kauffman funeral home until 
Tuesday noon.
