Peter & Paul, on Thursday, was one of the largest attended in many months in this city, sorrowing friends from Berlin and Orange townships as well as from the city, being present in large numbers. The solemn high mass, sung by Rev. Fr. McCarthy, was impressively beautiful, and the discourse by the rector was highly eulogistic of his deceased parishioner and friend. The funeral procession to the grave was led by the Knights of Columbus, the Knights marching in a square about the funeral car, and they were followed by a long line of conveyances. In the death of Michael Hackett a good man and good citizen passes to his eternal reward. The bearers were from the Knights of Columbus, Brothers Martin Fulmer, A. M. Gillis, Joseph Loucks, Roman Slowinski, Daniel Slowinski and Louis Zanto.
