Ionia Daily Sentinel, 25 Mar 1907

Mrs. John Hackett died at 1 o’clock Sunday afternoon at the home of her
daughter, Mrs. Oscar Price, 209 N. Dexter street.  Funeral from the church of SS
Peter and Paul Wednesday morning.  Interment in Catholic cemetery.  Mrs. Hackett
was 72 years of age.  Her husband died two years ago, and they were for 50 or 60
years among the best residents of Orange.  They lived all their lives from the
time they were married on the farm upon which they first settled, and were
highly respected.  Mrs. Hackett had lived in the city with her daughter since
the death of her husband.  The two surviving children are Mrs. Price and Robert
Hackett, the son being on the old homestead.
