Mrs. Hackett was born in Wayne County, January 11, 1862. She came to Ionia about 30 years ago. Besides the daughter, Mrs. Powell, she is survived by one son, John Hackett of Birmingham, two brothers, John Palmer of Grand Rapids and Martin Palmer of Portland; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Harwood of Cleveland and Mrs. Elizabeth Harwood of Detroit. Mr. Hackett died about 40 years ago. Funeral services were from SS Peter and Paul Church Monday morning at nine o’clock, Rev. Ralph J.Kelley saying the requiem Mass and burial was in Mt. Olivet cemetery. Pallbearers were Joseph and Adam Powell, Frank Grescoviak and Bert Hackett. Many relatives from a distance attended the funeral.
